ArtTending was founded by internationally awarded mixologist Felipe Castro C. to provide more flexibility for his international competition career. Felipe has enjoyed a 20+ year career in the industry, where he has developed all levels of the craft—from dive bars to Forbes-ranked, from bar support to beverage director. He is an active competition bartender and part of Team USA for international.

During his career, he has trained hundreds of newcomers in the industry, independently and as part of corporate training, and he has developed dozens of beverage programs. His college studies as a teacher have provided him with tools and methods not commonly seen in our sometimes more informal industry. Aside from competing in one of the editions the World Cocktail Championship and winning a Pan American title, is one of the few bartenders in the country certified by the International Bartenders Association as a bar manager, competition judge, and trainer He is also a current ambassador for the Flair Bartenders Association (FBA) and a member of one of the committees of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG). Here at ArtTending, we are thrilled to have his leadership as an academic director, consultant, mixologist, and instructor, and we are excited to offer his expertise to businesses, aficionados, and of all levels.
